I just posted this publicly so hopefully we can get some help.
ok, those of you that follow what I do on Giving Back Experiences - here is the list of what we need - If you have ANY of this....please consider donating it. ❤
For the assembly, the needs we have, in order of importance are:
6 sets of "Jargar" cello strings
4 cello bows
5 hard cases for cello
The teacher said that the cases, because the hard are expensive can be like the one looks like a bag.
Jargar strings are the cheapest that already work well ya, there are cheaper but they are not worth it.
Any bows that are 4/4, preferably carbon fiber due to the heat of Vallarta (they are not very expensive)
The cases are the most expensive, although the most necessary to move, rigid also made of carbon fibre, in case you cannot, some covers in good condition would also help us a lot
String orchestra:
2 violins 2/4
4 violins 3/4
6 - 4/4 violins
4 violas (any size)
1 cello 2/4
1 cello 3/4
2 cellos 4/4
2 double basses (any size)
This covers a string orchestra with 22 members, including ages 6 or 7 and up.
❤ This is first person we were able to benefit from Giving Back Experiences. A young girl in Puerto Vallerta, Mexico outgrew her cello, supplied by the free school. The music school she attends provides free music and dance lessons to underprivileged children. She had outgrown all of instruments at the free music school and was not going to be able to continue. With the help of the generous ladies in the Langley area we were able to bring her a cello her size. She is now in a ensemble that is able to perform at the local resorts
