Had an inspection been done earlier for this Surrey homeowner, we would have found the troubles brewing with their home's disconnect box - before they were left unexpectedly without power.
Their disconnect box was located outside and constantly exposed to elements, which was wearing it down. It was also improperly fitted with the wrong breaker. The breaker was too big and therefore it didn't trip like it should have. Since the breaker didn't trip, it burned and they lost power.
