Considering fresh flowers on a cake? There are some that are actually toxic. But these are safe .... edible actually. Even so, unless flowers & greens come from a pesticide free garden, many commercial growers use chemicals. To be completely safe, ask the cake decorator to place a barrier between the flowers & any edible part of the cake if possible.Other edible blooms not shown are pansies, lavender and orchids. The only exception with orchids would be those that are dyed. A professional florist can advise.
